Inside CPWorld Conference 2025: Insights from a Visitor Outside the Close Protection Circle

At Risk Averse Connections, we attend key industry events to explore new insights, innovation and opportunities for professionals across the global security network. The CPWorld Conference 2025, held at the Victory Services Club in Marble Arch, London, was a clear example of how impactful the security community can be when professionals come together to share knowledge and experience.

The conference gathered experts, companies and training providers from every corner of the close protection and security sector. It was a day full of engaging talks, professional workshops and quality networking opportunities that offered plenty of inspiration, even for someone like me who works adjacent to the field rather than directly within it.

The first thing that stood out was the sharp, professional look of the delegates. Presentation clearly matters in this industry and the level of detail was impressive. From the tailored suits to polished footwear, the overall image projected confidence and precision.

One of the standout exhibitors was Fielding & Nicholson, who showcased their bespoke tailoring services. Their stall was a perfect reflection of how appearance and professionalism go hand in hand in the world of executive and close protection. Their craftsmanship demonstrated that confidence often begins with presentation.

The schedule included a strong variety of sessions that touched on everything from career development and industry standards to media awareness and future opportunities in private aviation.

The Security Institute delivered particularly valuable insights on professional membership and ongoing training, highlighting how structure and learning continue to support security professionals long after they leave frontline work. For anyone looking to build a career in close protection or advance within the field, the conference served as a reminder that continuous growth and education are essential.

Beyond the talks, the exhibition area was where much of the real interaction took place. Dozens of companies showcased technology, consultancy services and training solutions designed to improve safety and efficiency in all aspects of protection work.

I had some great conversations with the following exhibitors, who all offered something unique to the sector:

Specialists in ballistic and protective equipment for both personal and vehicle use. Their innovative designs and engineering solutions are trusted by clients worldwide.

A luxury close protection and chauffeur service known for discretion and refinement. Their approach to personal security reflects a blend of professionalism and elegance.

The UK’s leading professional body for the security sector, offering accreditation, training and membership to practitioners seeking structured career development.

A strategic risk management consultancy that delivers intelligence led solutions for complex security challenges. Their expertise in both private and government operations stood out throughout the day.

A humanitarian focused organisation providing crisis response and protective services in high risk areas. Their ethos blends compassion with operational excellence.

One of the most positive aspects of the CPWorld Conference 2025 was how the sense of community extended beyond the venue. Attendees were invited to join a CPWorld WhatsApp group chat, which became a lively space for sharing feedback, contacts and insights after the event.

The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting how valuable the day had been for building connections, learning from others and finding new motivation within their professional journey. The continued discussion within the WhatsApp group showed that this conference was more than just a one day event. It was the start of ongoing collaboration among like minded professionals.

The CPWorld Conference 2025 proved that even for those outside the immediate close protection field, there is a lot to learn and appreciate from this industry. The event blended structure, professionalism and approachability in a way that made it both educational and inspiring.

It showcased how serious the sector is about training, standards and personal presentation, but also how welcoming and supportive its community can be. The combination of expert talks, engaging exhibitors and continued conversation through the WhatsApp group made this year’s event a genuine success.

The next CPWorld Conference is already confirmed for 6 November 2026, and if it builds on the momentum of this year, it will be another unmissable opportunity to connect, learn and grow within the security community.
